Meet Our Farm

Meet Nemo, One of the farm favorites. Nemo was adopted from Cape Fear Equine Rescue after a very rough beginning. He came to us unbroke and a bit timid and is now our best most popular "pony" for pony rides and a sweet gentle soul.  Nemo's kindness knows no bounds, and his gentle nature makes him a pillar of tranquility in our barn. We feel like he knows he has a life full of love and attention and all the food he needs and shows his appreciation every day.

Meet Dory, the charming blue roan quarter horse with dapples too! Dory is a beloved member of our equine family. Her fondness for treats and insatiable desire for attention make her a heartwarming presence in our stables, where she never fails to brighten our days. Dory's ability to reciprocate the love she receives is evident in her sweet kisses, a gesture she readily shares with anyone who extends a hand. 

Meet Silver, the barn's resident goofball. His love for attention is boundless, and he thrives on being the center of everyone's focus. While he is a white Tennessee Walker, he tends to get painted a lot with bathtub soap so you can often see a pastel hue to his coat even after daily baths in the summertime!  Silver's friendly nature is a beacon of warmth, welcoming all with a hearty snort and head tilt to a friendly nudge. Meet Treasure, our beloved Missouri Fox Trotter who proudly holds the title of the barn's eldest resident. With an insatiable love for food and an undeniable yearning for attention, he's a charmer who knows how to win hearts. Treasure's friendly disposition makes him a cherished figure in the barn, but every now and then, his mischievous side emerges, earning him the affectionate title of "brat" – As long as he first to get a treat when you walk by, all is right in the world!

Oliver is visiting. His owner moved to the area after selling his farm and wanted a fun stress free place for Oliver to enjoy during the transition. Oliver is a big young boy that is always curious and ready to meet new people and new animals. He enjoys playing with our mini donkeys and has the sweetest personality.  We hope he stays for a long time! 

Meet Misty, one of our mini ponies, who plays a nurturing role as the mother of Stormy, and her gentle, somewhat timid nature adds a touch of sweetness to our stable. She and Stormy were rescued right before getting sent to auction. Despite her initial shyness, Misty has a fondness for attention and readily responds to gentle gestures of affection (especially if there are treats involved). Misty reminds us that even the most reserved souls can open up when treated with love and kindness. 

Meet Stormy, a little bundle of boundless curiosity and playful spirit. Her inquisitive nature leads her on countless exploratory adventures around the barn. Stormy is a true attention-seeker, always ready to bask in the affection and admiration of anyone who comes her way. With an irresistible charm that draws you in, she joyfully gallops to the fence, eagerly awaiting your arrival and also hoping you have some treats. She is often seen at birthday parties and camp eagerly giving pony rides!

Meet Shadow, a charming micro mini donkey with a heart as big as her gentle soul. Shadow loves people and food and has no enemies! She is happy in any pasture or carrying baskets of beverages at your event. She is kind, gentle and loving and takes life slowly. Shadow will stop to smell (and eat) the roses every time!  Always eager for a scratch behind the ears or a warm hug. Shadow's expressive eyes and soft fur make her a party favorite from birthday petting zoos to weddings!

Meet Truffles, a heartwarming bundle of affection who delights in life's simplest pleasures, particularly treats. Her rich, chocolate-colored coat and soulful eyes make her an absolute charmer, but it's her unwavering friendship with Shadow that truly defines her. Together, Truffles and Shadow form an inseparable duo, sharing not only their love for snacks but also a deep, unbreakable bond. Truffles is named for her chocolate color and sweetness only found in Truffles! 

Meet Rascal, our spirited little "jack" mini donkey, who is a bundle of boundless energy and mischief that brings endless laughter to our farm. With his endearing mix of sweet and playful antics, he's a source of delight to all who encounter his vivacious spirit. Rascal is soon to be a daddy to Pixie's baby due in the Spring of 2026! I am sure they will make a beautiful baby! 

Meet Rosie, our sweet micro mini donkey who brings boundless joy to our farm with her irresistibly sweet and loving personality. She is the first  mini donkey on the farm to have a baby and she is the most amazing mom! Her daughter Pebbles is as sweet as they come! Clearly it runs int he family.  Rosie's undeniable weakness for treats and her unwavering affection for anyone who crosses her path make her an instant favorite among all residents of the farm. 

Meet Blaze, the charismatic donkey who is the heartbeat of the farm. With his striking scarlet coat and a voice that could rival any barnyard symphony, he demands attention wherever he goes. Blaze is a social butterfly and is often seen babysitting any animal that needs a friend! Blaze's infectious enthusiasm and lively brays make him the life of the party, spreading joy and laughter throughout the farm. He and Rosie are the proud parent of Pebbles. Our tiny little star cocktail hostess! 

Meet Wiley, the remarkable mini donkey with a heartwarming transformation story. When Wiley first arrived, he was a scared and didn't trust anyone, always on edge and unsure of his surroundings. With patience and love from his caregivers, Wiley has learned to trust and embrace his gentle nature. He is truly a success story of a donkey going from feral to so friendly that he is often a chosen cocktail host at our weddings and events! Wiley was the first donkey to move to our farm back in 2019!

Meet Pebbles, The first baby miniature donkey born on the farm! Pebbles is the baby of Rosie and Blaze. She is the most amazing soft, friendly loving addition to our farm. You will want to hug her and never let her go! Pebbles was born August 25, 2024 and thought she was a lap dog! she has been showered with attention since day one. She loves everyone and knows no fear! When there is an event at the farm, she has to be part of it, she is so sweet and nosey, she would not miss an opportunity! 

Meet Pixie, the adorable micro miniature donkey with a heart as sweet as can be. She is our smallest donkey, about the  size of a medium dog, she's the perfect, pint-sized friend who always brightens your day with her gentle demeanor and friendly nuzzles. With her soft, grey coat and endearing eyes, Pixie has a way of melting hearts and making everyone feel loved and cherished. She is expecting a foal with Rascal this Spring. We can't wait to see Pixie as a mom! 

Meet Barley, the exuberant and ever-energetic doodle who has an insatiable zest for life, loving everyone and everything in his path. To him, the farm's animals are all willing participants in a lively game of tag. Barley's daily routine when he visits Riptide invariably includes a refreshing plunge into the pond, followed by a boundless enthusiasm to greet everyone with a joyous, wet coat.

Meet Hops, the affectionate sister to the lively Barley, who is a bundle of sweetness and playfulness herself, though her heart truly belongs to the humans she adores. With a gentle disposition and the speed to keep up with her brother, she's a lively companion. However, her true joy lies in the undivided attention of her human friends. Hops revels in being snuggled, pampered, and showered with love, often placing a paw on you when it's time for some extra affection.

Meet Phoenix, our Rottweiler puppy! She is new to the farm (and the world) and is already proving to be a great farm dog. She has no fear, knows no strangers and is always ready for fun. She wants to paly with the donkeys and horses a bit too much right now, but she will eventually be allowed to run free with Barley and Hops... For now, the hay brn is a safe place for her at the farm!
